Terms of service

These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") set forth the conditions for use of the online shop (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by Imamura Tea Plantation (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") on this website, as well as the rights and obligations between the Company and all users.
Before using this Service, you must read and agree to the entirety of these Terms.


Article 1 (Membership)

  1. “Member” refers to an individual who agrees to these Terms and completes the Company’s prescribed membership registration process.
  2. “Member Information” refers to information provided by the member concerning their personal attributes, as well as records of transactions with the Company.
  3. These Terms apply to all members and must be followed during and after the registration process.

Article 2 (Registration)

  1. Eligibility for Membership Customers who agree to these Terms and complete the required registration process shall obtain membership status. Membership registration must be completed by the individual intending to become a member. Registration by proxy is not permitted. The Company may refuse registration if the applicant has previously had their membership revoked or is otherwise deemed unsuitable.
Minors must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian before using the Service.
  2. Entering Member Information Members must carefully follow all instructions and accurately enter required information in the prescribed registration form. Special characters, obsolete kanji, and Roman numerals may not be used; if entered, they will be corrected by the Company.
  3. Password Management
    1. Passwords are for the exclusive use of the member and must not be transferred or loaned to third parties.
    2. Members are responsible for managing their password securely, including regularly changing it to prevent unauthorized access.
    3. Any action taken using the registered password will be considered the member’s own action, and the member shall bear full responsibility for any resulting payments or consequences.

Article 3 (Changes to Member Information)

  1. If a member’s name, address, or other registered information changes, the member must promptly notify the Company.
  2. The Company shall not be held responsible for any damages arising from a failure to make such changes.
  3. Please note that any transactions initiated before the change was registered will be processed based on the previously registered information.

Article 4 (Withdrawl)

  1. Members may withdraw from the Service and cancel their membership by notifying the Company through the prescribed method.
  2. Upon withdrawal, the member will lose all rights associated with the Service.
  3. If any outstanding obligations exist at the time of withdrawal, the member must immediately settle all such obligations in full, regardless of any originally agreed payment deadlines.
  4. The handling of member information after withdrawal shall follow Article 11 (Handling of Customer Information).

Article 5 (Transactions)

  1. The Company reserves the right to restrict, refuse, or suspend transactions if the customer falls under any of the following:
    1. Actions fall under or are deemed to violate the prohibited conduct in the previous article
    2. Credit card payment fails to be processed
    3. The customer cannot be contacted through the provided phone number or email
    4. The customer fails to respond to the Company’s inquiries regarding the order
    5. The customer has received prior notice that repeated returns/exchanges have made normal transactions difficult
    6. Any other cases where the Company deems continued transactions inappropriate If the Company suspects that a customer may fall under any of the above, product shipment may be withheld until the issue is resolved.
  2. The Company shall bear no responsibility for any damages incurred by the customer due to such actions.
  3. If the Company suspects that a customer may fall under any of the above, product shipment may be withheld until the issue is resolved.

Article 6 (Transactions)

  1. The Company will not disclose member information to third parties without prior consent, except in the following cases:
    1. When disclosure is required by law
    2. When deemed necessary to protect the Company’s rights, interests, or reputation
  2. Member information is managed in accordance with the Company’s "Privacy Policy." The Company may use member information for providing services, improving service quality, promoting usage, and ensuring smooth operation of the Service.
  3. The Company may also send newsletters or other communications (including advertisements) to members.
  4. Members may opt out of such communications by following the prescribed method. However, necessary notifications related to Service operation cannot be opted out of.
